After three terms of service, Senator Mary Landrieu was defeated in the December runoff 56-44%. While pundits attributed her defeat to the unpopularity of President Obama in Louisiana, the seeds of her defeat were sown long before that.
Decision 2014 – Louisiana Senate and Congressional polls
In 49 other states, the 2014 midterm elections have concluded. Louisiana, however, still has runoffs for the US Senate and two Congressional races. JMC Enterprises of Louisiana recently polled two of these three runoff races.
Decision 2014 – JMCEL scorecard as of November 2
Election Day is two days away, and this looks like a Republican year. How Republican of a year it will be is the question on table, as there are some “trouble spots” for the Republicans which haven’t entirely gone away in the closing days of the 2014 election cycle.

Decision 2014 – JMCEL scorecard as of August 16
Right now, 39 states have decided their party’s nominees for federal and statewide offices (Oklahoma’s runoff is on August 26, and there are three more primary dates before the November elections). Given that many of these November races are already underway, this is a good time to bring back the scorecard as a way of objectively assessing […]
