Now that the will of the voters has been expressed in the 2010 midterm elections, how are we to interpret the results ? We will answer this question in the next seven posts, which will cover not only the elections just concluded, but will look into the near term (i.e., 2011 and 2012) future.

Early voting for the Congressional elections/runoff elections for local races started yesterday and will continue until Tuesday, October 26. From examining early voting statistics provided to us by the Secretary of State, there are several things we noticed:

Early analysis of the Louisiana Lieutenant Governor’s Runoff
A week ago, 22% of Louisiana voters voted in the special election for Lieutenant Governor, and in that primary contest, Republican Secretary of State Jay Dardenne finished first with 28%, while Democratic attorney Caroline Fayard finished second with 24%.
